I’m Andrew Austin, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of New York, Vermont and Florida. My focus is on anxiety, depression and grief.

My Approach
While working with me, you can expect compassion, active listening, and transparency. I utilize mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, existential therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy. Every client of mine is the expert of their own life: they're walking through the journey while I'm a sherpa walking with them.

I work with a wide population of adults struggling with depression, anxiety, and traumatic experiences with unconditional positive regard. I like to create a strong foundation of getting to know the person before goal-setting and creating a purpose for sessions so that you're getting the most out of your time.

The first session is a chance for us to connect and start creating a safe, trusting space together. We’ll explore what led you to seek therapy, what you’re hoping for, and any goals you may be considering—though there’s no expectation to have clear answers right away. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your experiences, and you’re always welcome to share only what feels comfortable. We’ll also talk about what ongoing therapy could look like and shape an approach that feels supportive and aligned with your needs. Above all, my hope is that you leave feeling listened to, validated, and encouraged about what’s ahead.

I provide therapy services through a fully virtual, secure platform.

Appointments are scheduled in advance, at a pace we agree on, based on your goals, treatment needs, and our mutual availability. Payments for each appointment will be made through our meeting platform by debit, credit card or ACH transfer.
You may cancel appointments in advance without charge, as long as I receive notice far enough in advance. For appointment no-shows or last-minute cancellations, you may be charged a fee. Please reach out to me directly for my latest policy on the cancellation cutoff period and fees.
